What is illness for Plato?
You have reason, natural desires and will. When there's a balance between three, you are virtuous, if not, your're ill. For example, you have the natural desire of hunger and you are in the middle of a meeting, then your reason says "It's not time for eating" and your will take the decision not to eat.
When the natural desire is over your will, there's illness. The same if the will is over the natural desires, there's illness (for example anorexia), only in the balance would be the virtue.
In the Nature World, we could use this very simple Plato thinking to explain what unbalance the equilibrium.
Sometimes, We as human beings do immense breakthroughs such as the manufacturing of nuclear bombs, our natural desire would make us use them to kill other people and have the power, but then the reason in form of scientist such as A. Einstein should say, no one single nuclear weapon should exist in Earth as We are still not able to control its power and our Will in the form of UN will establish a non proliferation treatment to state that. Equilibrium.
But, what about farming, what about fishing? what about cattle farming?
We know we are depleting some fish species, we know the livestock cannot be cultivated as plants without the weakening of animal species, we know that the use of petroleum fertilizers weakens the plants... the reason says reduce the fishing rhythm (increasing the price and reducing the consume), make healthy farming for human consumption and do not feed animals with food for people. Where's the will?
We're becoming a cancer to biosphere and through multilateral and holistic scientific investigation and a serious human Will based on UN we could stop being a cancer and become Earth friendly species.
Holistic means open minded, using global thinking and focusing the issue on several angles, not only focusing on Genetics, or Virus, but trying to understand all integrated as a whole.
Not long ago, I was in Spain in a conference within the Ramon Areces foundation about virus and with good criterion some of the world major virus experts stated that a virus should be considered into a economical and political environment, meaning that terrible cattle foot-and-mouth diseases were extremely linking on the modern techniques of animal farming before even speaking about the virus and the ADN
Then that fusion between science and common sense can be a powerful beginning to balance the reason with the natural desire to eat cheap meat.

Origen - Beginning (Español)
Yo comienzo este blog para crear un espacio de expresión libre destinado a la mejoría del Mundo.
El pensamiento colectivo que Internet facilita permite que todas las personas del mundo puedan pensar en un tema particular aportando ideas que enriquezcan al mismo tema de discusión como si cobrase vida en sí mismo y se transformara en un ser independiente que evoluciona. Esto está basado en la idea de que "Un millón de mentes piensan mejor que una, por muy poderosa que sea esa una" creo que esto en sí mismo es una idea poderosa, quizás no una verdad absoluta debido a la existencia de la información privilegiada que podría pesar más que el millón de mentes juntas desequilibrando la balanza. Esto es lo que Isaac Newton expresó en su célebre cita "Si yo he visto más allá, es solo por haber estado mirando sobre hombros de gigantes"
Como yo no he sido tan afortunado de poder mirar sobre hombros de gigantes hasta ahora, sin menospreciar mis múltiples fuentes de inspiración, he decidido iniciar este blog para usar el pensamiento colectivo como la mejor opción alternavita. Cosas tales como Lynux o la Wikipedia nacieron usando las mismas fuentes de energía.
Recientemente vi dos películas "The Inside Job" como Matt Damon como celebridad implicada y "Home" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWRHxh6XepM)la primera sobre aspectos financieros y la segunda sobre temas medioambientales, pero ambas como nexo común expresando en una manera llana y cercana para el común de los mortales la interconexión de todas las cosas, el balance de la naturaleza y como en el mundo financiero el equilibrio se rompe fácilmente con la raíz de la corrupción cosa que ocurre en todas las esferas de la tierra, que consideraremos como un sistema biológico "estable"
De una manera espiral, la falta de equilibrio se hace más y más grande hasta el punto en que explotará. En el caso de los aspectos económicos y políticos, la humanidad ha sufrido cientos de crisis que en definen las historia de la Humanidad y las civilizaciones. En el caso de los temas mediambientales, es la primera vez que afrontamos este problema que fácilmente podría hacernos desaparecer de la faz de la tierra en un corto periodo de tiempo como los modernos dinosaurios que habríamos sido capaces de destruir el equilibrio básico del planeta agotando sus recursos y enfermando sus pulmones a modo de cáncer.
La especie Humana es perfectamente consciente de estos temas y poderosas iniciativas son tomadas en los centros principales de poder como Naciones Unidas en su programa UNEP. Pero estos centros de poder por sí solos son muy débiles ante un tema del calibre de un desequilibrio biológico dentro del equilibrio que nos permite vivir como seres humanos y cada movimiento que se pueda hacer en favor de UNEP o movimientos similares son en mi opinión de vital valor y por eso yo soy consciente de que un blog bien orientado puede ayudar live as humans and every movement that can be done in help of UNEP or similar movements is in my opinion of vital value and I thought that a y por eso esto comienzo.
Desde el principio declaro que este blog pretende ser respetuoso, sin ningún tipo de imposición de ideas en absoluto, sino un mero canal para todo tipo de ideas. A menudo veo personas atacando fieramente el capitalismo como la raíz del problema, y esta fiereza es algo que pretendo evitar. El capitalismo ha demostrado ser efectico para que la sociedad prospere y atacarlo como un demonio es algo totalmente injusto, podría decir lo mismo de casi cualquier sistema socio-económico...
Ojalá fuera posible definir un sistema sin nombre, entonces no habría nada que atacar como el comunismo o el capitalismo, pero más que eso, sería mucho más flexible y fácil de adaptar a las circunstancioas. Hace unos días alguien me dijo en un bar que "Por la existencia de Lynux, tenía esperanza en el futuro" queriendo referirse a ese concepto de trabajo colaborativo global al estilo wikipedia, donde el "Sistema" es compartido por todo el planeta y todos y cada uno somos libres de contribuit con una idea o un cambio.
Yo no quiero que ninguna idea, no importa lo disparatada que parezca, sea atacada o insultada. La solución del trueque parece estúpida, como volver a la Edad Media, pero si somos de mente abierta, en algunos mercados como el de la comida, podría ser muy útil. Hoy en día vemos a personas compartiendo usos de coche, viajes, cambiando una semana en Venecia por una semana en New York, por lo tanto obviamente un sistema de trueque no es algo para despreciar. E ideas mucho más creativas y profundas que "un sistema de trueque inteligente" pueden llegar y no quiero que se las insulte, al menos en este Foro. Me gustaría que las buenas ideas prosperen y dejen su marca en la tierra.
Por lo tanto, por encima de cualquier visión política o religiosa, o de cualquier fuerza que pueda influir en el pensamiento, sólo basándolse en el respeto y el compartir ideas y con la intención de ayudar al Mundo a ser un lugar mejor para vivir y sostenible dentro de el equilibrio de la Naturaleza, este foro es creado ahora.

I am beginning this blog in order to create a space for free expression aimed to the improvement of the World.
The global thinking that Internet facilitates permits that all the people in the world can be thinking about a particular subject giving ideas that enrich the subject itself as an independent being, I have read the expression that "A million minds think much more powerfully than a single mind by itself no matter how powerful that single mind is" I think that it is a powerful idea, maybe it is not true absolutely as a single mind could play with privileged information that would break the scales. That's what Isaac Newton stated when he told "If I have seen further it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants"
As I have not been so lucky yet to stand on the shoulders of giants I decided to start this blog to use Global thinking as the best alternative option. Such things as Lynux and Wikipedia were born in the same collaborative way.
Lately I saw two films, "The Inside Job" with Matt Damon as public figure and "Home" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqxENMKaeCU) the former focused on the financial issues and the latter in the environmental issues but both stating in a very close and easy to understand basis the interconnection of all things, the balance and how in the financial world the balance is broken by that Inside Job or corruption and the same happens in every layer of the World, that could be considered as an stable biological system, as an spherical human body.
Like an spiral, that unbalance on the equilibrium will become bigger and bigger until it will explode. In the case of the financial and political issues, the world has suffered hundreds of crisis that defines History and civilizations. In the case of environmental issues, It is the first time We face this problem that easily could make us disappear from the Earth in a short period of time as the modern dinosaurs able to break the natural equilibrium of the World depleting all its resources and the same as a Cancer damaging its vital organs.
The Human Kind is perfectly aware of the issue and extremely powerful initiatives are being held in powerful places such as UN with its UNEP program. But United Nations itself is very weak in front of a huge issue such as the unbalance of the biological equilibrium that permit us to live as humans and every step that can be take in help of UNEP or similar movements is, in my opinion, of vital value and I thought that a blog could be helpful and that's why I begin this one.
From the beginning I state this blog is intended to be respectful, no imposition of ideas whatsoever, just a medium to channel any kind of ideas. I often see people attacking fiercely the capitalism as the root of the problem, and that's something I want to avoid. Capitalism has been proven effective for society to thrive and to attack it as a devil it is not completely fair, I could tell the same of any other possible socio-economical system.
I wish it would be possible to define a no-named system; there wouldn't be anything to attack such as communism, or capitalism but more than that, it could be much more flexible and easy to adapt to circumstances. A few days ago a guy told me in a bar "Because of Lynux, I have hope for the future" meaning that concept of a global free working, where the system is shared among all the planet and everyone is free to contribute to it with an idea or change.
I don't want any idea, no matter how crazy it looks like, to be insulted; barter could look like stupid, like going back to middle ages, but, if We are open minded, in some markets, such us food, could be very useful, today We see people sharing cars, trips, exchanging a week in Venice for a week in New York, so obviously barter is not something to underestimate... and many much more creative and deep ideas than "intelligent barter markets" may come and I don't want them to be disdained, at least not in this forum. I'd really like good ideas to thrive and make a mark upon the Earth.
So, over any political view, any religious view or any mental bias-making power, only based on respect and sharing of ideas and with the intention to help the World to be a better place to live with a sustainable civilization within the equilibrium of the enviroment, this forum is now created.
